I remember my interview well, and the feeling I got as I walked into the office and met with two of the Directors. I knew there and then that I wanted the job.
First impressions count, and Canham Consulting did not disappoint. The office itself is a beautiful Old School that has been converted to meet modern office needs. Within walking distance is some green space, the River Yare and a couple of nice pubs. A bit further down the road is the outskirts of Norwich City Centre.
Along with an idyllic setting, the promises made to me at my interview have been kept 3 years on. I was promised a workplace with a ‘family’ feel that looks out for one another, the opportunity to progress and develop my career and the freedom to be creative in my work. I’ve experienced all of this and more over the last 3 years. Along with the support and guidance of the management team and my colleagues, I have taken on more responsibility, more challenges and expanded my role.
There is still so much more I want to achieve here, and I whole heartedly agree with our culture of ‘Kindness and Learning’ that is well established within the business. I can certainly see why some of my colleagues have been here for more than 10 years!
Being part of an SME means I matter. I matter to the business, I matter to my colleagues, and I feel truly part of something pretty exciting.
