Wellington Pier
The restoration of the historic Wellington Pier in Great Yarmouth presented Canham Consulting with many challenges - both in aesthetic and structural terms.
The conservation of much of the original structural fabric and form meant that the new structure had to blend in with the existing, whilst at the same time not impinging on the overall visual effect.
Canham Consulting was appointed as Civil and Structural Engineers to produce detailed drawings and specifications for our client. We also used state of the art modelling techniques to ensure a sound and sympathetic solution which retained the original character of the buildings.
Tekla 3D modelling was an integral part of this contract and allowed us to view all possible solutions before committing to the final design.
